A latka is our family-recipe version of a potato hashbrown. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle. It’s also gluten free.Is your menu halal?
Most of our menu is halal. The only exception is our shaved turkey and turkey bits used in the Caesar bagel and salad. Simply remove the turkey to make the Caesar halal.What’s EBS?
EBS stands for Everything Bagel Seasoning. Our house blend of seeds, garlic, onion and salt. Good on just about everything.Do you have vegan options?
Yes, plenty. We make our own tofu schmear (a vegan cream cheese), and we stock vegan mayo and vegan cheddar. You’ll find them in options like our Vegan Veggie Bagel, Vegan Tofu Peri Peri, and Vegan Katsu.Are tofu and halloumi fried in the same fryer as schnitzel?
No. They’re cooked in a separate vegetarian fryer. The only other item cooked there is our latka, which is vegetarian and gluten free.What’s babka?
Babka is a soft, brioche-style sweet bread. We bake ours fresh. You can have it as is, or pan-fried like French toast. Best enjoyed warm with ice cream and your favourite jam.Is the schnitzel breast or thigh?
Thigh. It’s seasoned with paprika, which gives it a slightly pink colour.Is your chai vegan?
Our iced chai is vegan. Our hot sticky chai contains honey.Is your chocolate vegan?
Yes. Both our chocolate powder and chocolate syrup are vegan.Do your cookies contain nuts?
Our Nutella cookies contain hazelnuts but our Biscoff and Triple Chocolate cookies are nut-free.Do you have gluten-free bagels?
Yes, we do offer gluten-free bagels at all stores and for catering.Can I get a gluten-free chicken?
Unfortunately not. Our chicken schnitzel is crumbed and deep fried, and our poached chicken is prepared in a way that isn’t gluten-free friendly.I’m pregnant, are there raw eggs in anything?
No raw eggs here. We use pasteurised eggs in our egg mayo, sauces and latkes, as well as our sweets.Can the egg in the brekkie bagel be well done?
The egg in is baked frittata-style in the oven, cut into squares and reheated on the hot plate. Are your bagel chips fried?
No. They’re oven-baked.What’s Russian dressing?
A classic deli sauce. Mayo-based, slightly tangy, not spicy. You’ll find it in our Brekkie and Reuben bagels.Do you have lactose-free milk?
Not at the moment. We do offer soy, almond and oat.Our beef brisket is slow-cooked before it arrives, then reheated on the hot plate. It’s fully cooked.When are your bagels baked?
Our bagels arrive fresh every day.Are your bagels vegan?
Yes, they are.Is your matcha sweet? Can I have it without sugar?
Our matcha comes as a pre-sweetened powder. We mix it with water to make a syrup for drinks like our raspberry matcha. It contains milk solids, so it isn’t vegan.Is the beef well cooked?
What’s the difference between a Polish bagel and an American bagel?
Our bagels follow the Polish tradition. A little smaller, a little denser, with a proper chew. It’s the style many Jewish families brought with them long before the big New York bagel became famous. The recipe we use comes from family roots - A Labour of Love.
